OUR HISTORY

Higashi Fukuoka’s roots date back to 1945, with the founding of the “Fukuoka American English School”. Even today, global education remains one of our educational policies. Our International Office promotes collaboration with schools around the world, creating opportunities for English learning and cross-cultural exchange.

We integrate the liberal arts approach to broad learning with a strong emphasis on international perspectives. Through our unique program, you'll have opportunities to apply your knowledge in everyday international interactions and intercultural experiences. You'll also have the chance to deepen your understanding by engaging with our partnership universities or international students from various countries and regions.

Learning in ILA
Our curriculum features distinctive programs. Global Competence Program (GCP), which focuses on intercultural understanding and multicultural societies, fosters a global mindset through a balance of theory and practice. Additionally, Leader's Competence Program (LCP) and the Academic Program (AP) delve into 21st-century skills and provide an in-depth academic exploration of various issues.

To facilitate our students' progression to both domestic and international universities, including renowned public and private institutions, we maintain designated school recommendations with approximately 100 universities worldwide. We are committed to supporting each student's independent decision-making regarding their future academic path.
